ABOUT US
North Metro Anesthesia Services, PA was founded in February 1984 by three CRNAs (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists) Ken Shea, Dan Beutel, and Leon Williams. It is one of the first independent CRNA groups in Minnesota to become incorporated and bill under Medicare part B. The group provided contracted anesthesia services to District Memorial Hospital in Forest Lake, MN and Chisago Lakes Hospital in Chisago City, MN for 14 years. In February 1998, the two hospitals closed and merged into a newly constructed hospital, Fairview Lakes Regional Medical Center, in Wyoming, MN. Since 1990, North Metro Anesthesia Services has been the sole provider of anesthesia to this hospital, now known as M Health Fairview Lakes.
Our team consists of 12 highly trained CRNAs and 2 coding specialists. Our anesthesia practice encompasses all aspects of peri-operative care including orthopedic, pediatric, urology, spine, ENT and obstetric surgery. In addition, we provide anesthesia and pain management services for the Emergency Room, Intensive Care Unit, Radiology, and the Birthplace. North Metro Anesthesia strives to improve the health of the patients we serve by providing high quality, evidence based, progressive, and personalized anesthesia care.
